Rockhill Asia has been appointed by WWF to work on the FSC Bottleneck initiative for the Vietnam market with a main focus on the Rubber Wood Chain of Custody.
Rockhill Asia is beyond excited to announce our recent appointment by the prestigious World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to pioneer an important endeavor - the FSC Bottleneck Initiative. This initiative will focus on the Rubber Wood Chain of Custody in the bustling marketplace of Vietnam. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an esteemed global organization advocating for responsible management of our world’s forests. Their Chain of Custody (CoC) certification safeguards the traceability of forest products from their source all the way to their ultimate use. Our project's focal point will be Rubber Wood, an incredibly versatile tropical hardwood obtained from the Pará rubber tree.
The 'Bottleneck Initiative' is designed to identify and overcome challenges hindering sustainable certification or the effective management of forests. Our mission is to streamline this process, encouraging wider adoption of FSC certifications and endorsing more responsible forestry practices.
Vietnam holds a prominent position in the world in terms of the production of rubber wood furniture and other products. Therefore, it's of utmost importance to ensure this production benefits not only the environment but also the communities involved.
Through our partnership with WWF, we at Rockhill Asia are committed to bring our expertise to this initiative. We are confident that our contribution will catalyze positive changes, promoting a more sustainable future for the forestry sector in Vietnam and supporting global conservation efforts.
Stay connected with Rockhill Asia as we embark on this journey towards a more sustainable future!
